Treaty Education through Statistics

In this lesson, we are focusing on the Mathematics 9 Statistics and Probability unit and treaty essential learning #6 (education). We are discussing the understanding of the effect of bias, ethics, use of language and cultural sensitivity on data collection pertaining to FIrst Nations issues around education and the Aboriginal learning gap. The case studies that are a part of the lesson portray different views and possible bias presented within statistics.
